Cursa pentru alegerile prezidențiale din SUA 2020 a început deja și candidații se bat în sondaje pentru a atrage de partea lor voturile cetățenilor. Președintele american Donald Trump a scăzut în sondaje, iar Joe Biden vrea să șteargă înfrângerile rușinoase din trecut.
Joe Biden este democratul cu cele mai mare șanse să-l bată pe Donald Trump, candidatul din partea Partidului Republican. În schimb, în cursa internă în Partidul Democrat, și Bernie Sanders are șansele sale să-l bată pe Donald Trump, spun sondajele, chiar dacă nu se bucură de aceeași notorietate ca Joe Biden, fost vicepreședinte al Statelor Unite Ale Americii pe vremea lui Barack Obama.
Alegerile prezidențiale din SUA 2020 par a fi mai degrabă o bătălie între Joe Biden și Donald Trump decât între Bernie Sanders și Donald Trump, deși Sanders vine cu o viziune nouă pe scena politică, în timp ce Biden doar continuă moștenirea lui Obama.
Potrivit unui sondaj publicat de politico.eu, Joe Biden este în fața lui Donald Trump cu 7 procente, la 42% față de 35%, iar Bernie Sanders cu doar 5 procente în fața actualului președinte american. Sunt singurii candidați ai Partidului Democrat care au șanse în sondaje să-l bată pe Donald Trump, ceilalți nu depășesc nivelul de încredere al președintelui SUA.
Aceste rezultate nu reprezintă nici motive de bucurie, nici de îngrijorare. În aceeași perioadă din 2015, Hillary Clinton avea peste 10 procente avans în fața lui Donald Trump și într-un final a pierdut.
Joe Biden deja începe să piardă teren la capitolul încredere, potrivit oregonlive.com. Dacă în ianuarie 2018 peste 30% dintre americani aveau o părere „foarte bună” despre el, acum au mai rămas doar 10% dintre americani cu această părere despre fostul vicepreședinte. Deși Bernie Sanders a scăzut și el la acest capitol, s-a oprit totuși la doar 14%, de la 21%. De asemenea, Sanders conduce și la capitolul „părere bună” cu 37%, spre deosebire de 34% cât are Biden.
Donald Trump conduce detașat la capitolul popularitate, unde 28% dintre americani au o părere „foarte bună” despre el, iar 43% dintre respondenții la sondaj aprobă performanța lui Trump la Casa Alba și doar 55% îl critică.
În sondajul Fox News, Joe Biden își crește avantajul la 50% față de 38% cât are Donald Trump. Joe Biden este mai bine clasat chiar și decât Bernie Sander cu o diferență de 9 procente. La sfârștiul lunii iulie, Donald Trump a avut o creștere în sondaje până la 49%, într-o bătălie directă cu Joe Biden, apoi a continuat să scadă.
